6.30pm – 8.30pm May 6 / 7 / 8
6.30pm meet at Bright Rooms
Every week you’ll experience a different printing technique:
1: Solarisation – Exposing a partially developed photograph to light, before continuing processing, creating halo-like effects often seen in the work of Man Ray & Francis Bruguiere.
3: Selective Development & selenium toming – abstract your imagery using powdered developer, brushes and sprays.
4: Lith Printing – Using special Lith developers and exposure techniques, lith prints have strong shadows balanced out with delicate, warm highlights. Prints can be worked on to emphasise the particular aspects of lith printing hat you like. Its a very beautiful way of printing under used in modern darkroom practice.
Working with your choice of images every evening you will gain an in-depth learning of all these processes.
As this workshop is in a series of four parts please be sure you can attend all the dates as we can not re-arrange dates or give refunds later than 3 week prior to the start date. If you do miss a session we can arrange a private catch up session at an additional cost.
