So you have your film developed, what next? This workshop covers the digitisation of your negatives or slides, how to make good quality scans and then prepare your images in photoshop. This workshop is suitable for beginners or those who are scanning already but perhaps not achieving the results that want.

6.30 – 8pm We will go over best scanning practices and image processing practice on Photoshop.

— Scanning software settings 

— Scan output size 

— Image resolution 

— Histograms 


— Curves layers 

— File types and when to use them

— Colour grading 

— Non destructive editing 

— Spot healing layer 

— Image sharpening 

— Sizing images for web 

— Preparing images for print 

What you will need to bring:

Negatives or slides (mounted) to scan – we can also provide negatives for you to use. If you have a laptop with photoshop you can bring it also. 

Bring a notepad and a pen!

Enter via the security desk found through the double doors on the 1st floor where you can sign in. Then walk to the 4th floor and turn right for unit 423. Lift access available.


Easily accessible via London Overground or national rail to Peckham Rye station.

Parking and delivery is at the rear entrance to the building. Turn left at the roundabout at the end of Cerise Road.


Come out of the station and turn left on Rye lane. after 20 meters on the right, opposite McDonalds, you’ll see Peckhamplex Cinema. As you walk towards it you’ll see a pathway that leads down the side of the building on the right. Follow the path and after 40m you’ll see the entrance to Peckham Levels on the left.
