Bright Rooms is a darkroom, studio & lab in Peckham, London. Open to all, Bright Rooms is a fresh new working environment to facilitate photographers, artists and printers by providing an affordable, friendly and accessible space. We welcome everyone with an interest in film photography and aim to build a community around our shared love of analogue technique.
We run regular workshops in all aspects of analogue photography along with specialist workshops run by guest photographers and artists. Workshops cater for children through to enthusiasts and professionals.
Bright Rooms also runs regular talks, film nights and the bi-annual Print & Zine Fair.
95A Rye Lane
Easily accessible via London Overground or national rail to Peckham Rye station.
Parking and delivery is at the rear entrance to the building. Turn left at the roundabout at the end of Cerise Road.
BY FOOT OR TRAIN:
Come out of the station and turn left on Rye lane. after 20 meters on the right, opposite McDonalds, you’ll see Peckhamplex Cinema. As you walk towards it you’ll see a pathway that leads down the side of the building on the right. Follow the path and after 40m you’ll see the entrance to Peckham Levels on the left.
Enter via the security desk found through the double doors on the 1st floor where you can sign in. Then walk to the 4th floor and turn right for unit 423. Lift access available.
Darkroom: We run very flexible hours according to when workshops are running and / or the darkroom has bookings. You need to book your session prior to arrival.
Studio: Available 7 days a week.
